The MI Design Awards Gala is an event hosted to celebrate the innovative, exemplary interior design projects and successes of our IIDA members across Michigan. This celebration will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Leona Rd in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The demanding grind of daily life can start to weigh us down. As a way of showing our appreciation for our IIDA Michigan members, we invite you to join us for some guided rest. Abby Marin will lead the session and guide participants through a body scan, energy clearing, vagus nerve reset, yoga nidra exercise, meditation, integration discussion, and affirmation.

CEU: The role of design in supporting neurodiversity at work
Join us for a virtual CEU hosted by IIDA and sponsored by Infinium Walls + Look Reps.
When designers focus solely on the physical layout of a workspace, they often overlook the diverse needs of neurodiverse individuals, resulting in environments that may not fully support all employees. This session will introduce the concept of neurodiversity in the workplace and highlight the critical role that inclusive design plays in creating supportive environments. Participants will learn about common challenges faced by individuals with neurological differences and explore design strategies to create more accommodating and productive workspaces.

2nd annual student speed interviews
IIDA Michigan Student Affairs is hosting a dynamic two-hour speed interview event. Attendees will engage in 15-minute interview slots, with 5-minute transitions, allowing for three interviews per hour. The event will feature dozens of firms and design organizations, offering opportunities for internships, entry-level positions, and practice interviews.
Priority registration is available for IIDA Student Members, ensuring they have the best chance to connect with potential employers and advance their careers in the design industry.

Biophilic Design: 14 Patterns for the built environment
This webinar will discuss the science of biophilia and biophilic design and how it can promote health-conscious built environments and furniture to meet the functional, aesthetic, and technological and experiential needs of a diverse clientele.
